This year at the NTCA Coverings Installation and Design awards, David Allen Company and a few DAC team and family members went home with some very exciting awards and honors! The CID Awards celebrate outstanding achievements in the design and installation of tile and stone in both residential and commercial projects.

Christopher Walker, the Vice President – Northeast Region for operations at the David Allen Company, received the NTCA Tile Person of the Year Award.

Cameron Proctor, a Senior Project Manager for the DAC Raleigh Tile / Stone department, received the Coverings Rock Stars Award – An Emerging Leaders Program.

Madison Walker, daughter of Chris & Elena Walker, received the Tom Ade Scholarship.

NTCA 5 Star Project of the Year – Commercial Elite Category: $1 million +
Winning Project: Kimpton Hotel, 300 South Tryon – Charlotte, NC.
Jason Banks, Jeff Graper and Charlie Walker were awarded the NTCA 5 Star Contractor Commercial Elite Project of the Year Grand Prize.

NTCA 5 Star Project of the Year – Commercial Category: Less than $1 million.
Achievement of Excellence Award: Chancery of Morocco – Washington DC.
Accepted by DAC’s Chris Walker, Cynthia Bendiksby and Michael Aviles.

David Allen Company won 5 of the 16 National Terrazzo and Mosaic Association (NTMA) Honor Awards for 2017

“From a design architect’s perspective, we were very pleased with the overall craftsmanship and quality of the poured terrazzo floors by David Allen Company at the Ronald Reagan Washington National Airport.
